About Patrick

Patrick McGrath is a freelance art director and an accomplished graphic designer. He has over 25 years of experience developing some of the most recognizable brands globally, including Marvel’s Spider-Man, X-Men, Avengers, and Hasbro’s Transformers franchises. He currently works as an art director at Spin Master, designing and developing games and puzzles for in-house and licensed brands.

He is a decisive leader and a flexible, cross-functional collaborator with expertise in art direction, brand development, style guide creation, publication and book design, typography, retail signage, packaging design, and product application. Patrick has experience designing for licensing, multi-media, television series, consumer products, marketing, video games, and publishing. For years, his creative vision was seen on Marvel’s major publishing events. He has designed hundreds of hardcover books, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, monthly comics, and other periodicals. Patrick started his career in web development and holds a UI/UX design certification.
